We are deeply honored Legal Aid at Work has been selected as the recipient of the ACLU of Southern California’s Gender Justice Award for 2022!

The Award is being given in recognition of LAAW’s work as a partner to the ACLU Foundation of Southern California on the Atkinson v. AECOM case and for LAAW’s work on policy advocacy to advance gender equity.  We are honored that staff attorney Katie Wutchiett, who was an attorney in the Atkinson matter and is a member of our Work & Family Team, and Elizabeth Kristen, who directs our Gender Equity and LGBTQ Rights project will be on hand to accept the award in person at the ACLU’s Advocates for Justice event tonight.

Many thanks to the ACLU of Southern California for this great honor and for being such a great partner and advocate for our low-wage worker clients. More information about the event can be found at the event website.
