May Day in San Francisco in video

San Francisco march against deportations

Thousands of people across the Bay Area rallied and marched May 1 in support of workers’ and immigrants’ rights. They gathered in Berkeley and Oakland and across downtown San Francisco, organized by civil rights organizations including Oakland Sin Fronteras and A Day Without An Immigrant SF. Legal Aid at Work staff joined in both the Oakland and San Francisco protests.

May Day provided an important opportunity to celebrate and support immigrants and workers, as well as to protest the new administration’s attempts to undermine workers’ and immigrants’ rights.
