Legal Aid at Work is honored to welcome three prominent lawyers as new members of its Board of Directors and to highlight one returning board member. These four trustees’ varied talents and backgrounds will be enormously helpful as we enter our second century of providing free legal services to low-income people and their families across California.
Amy Bomse, new to the board, is a partner with Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer. Her practice focuses on representation of lawyers and law firms on issues of legal ethics. Ms. Bomse’s pro bono work includes an ongoing RICO lawsuit brought by Planned Parenthood and a number of civil rights cases. Ms. Bomse previously served as an Assistant District Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco.
John P. Flynn, a new board member, is a partner with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and has extensive experience in highstakes corporate and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he was co-founder and partner in the litigation firm Mcleod, Moscarino, Witham & Flynn in San Francisco. He was previously a partner with Latham & Watkins and Dewey Ballantine and began his career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Richard Munzinger, a new board member, is a partner with Shartsis Friese LLP, where he is a civil trial lawyer focused on “business divorces” and other disputes within closely held entities of all forms, including startups and venture-backed companies. He also tries cases involving breach of contract and business torts, breach of fiduciary duty, trade secrets, employment, real estate, and government representation. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Munzinger advises CEOs and other executives, including on employment and internal corporate governance issues.
Scott A. Fink, returning board member, is a retired partner with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where he worked in class action, antitrust, insurance, bankruptcy, age discrimination and general commercial litigation.
