Shatti Hoque (she/her) is a Temporary Staff Attorney (pending admission in California) in the Racial Economic Program at Legal Aid at Work. Shatti provides legal advice and representation to workers who have been wrongfully terminated or denied employment opportunities in violation of California’s Fair Chance Act, or who have experienced racial discrimination in the workplace. She also supports the Racial Economic Justice Program’s legislative advocacy efforts and trainings to worker centers and community-based organizations.
Shatti received her J.D. from Emory University School of Law and her B.A. from New York University. Prior to joining Legal Aid At Work, Shatti worked at Legal Services NYC – Queens, where she was a supervising attorney in the Housing Rights Project.
