
Emily Hirsch
Vice President of Development and Communications
Emily Hirsch (she/her/hers) is the Vice President of Development and Communications at Legal Aid at Work, leading the organization’s fundraising and communications strategy. Emily works across the organization, with the Board of Directors, and with external partners to grow LAAW’s revenue and amplify its messaging to key audiences.
Prior to joining LAAW, Emily held several key development roles at the National Employment Law Project and at Sanctuary for Families, raising significant resources for workers’ rights and for gender-based violence survivors, and elevating communications efforts. Emily also served in the Peace Corps in Zambia, focusing on rural education and advancing public health projects. Emily’s work has appeared in The Chronicle of Philanthropy, textbooks on gender, and other publications. Emily has an M.A. in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University and a B.A. in English from George Washington University.
