Kevin Clune
President

Kevin Clune (he/him) is the President of Legal Aid at Work. As President, Kevin focuses on strengthening LAAW’s mission to protect and expand the rights of workers with low incomes through a disciplined approach that integrates direct services, impact litigation, and policy advocacy. He works closely with staff, board members, foundations, and public partners—and in partnership with grassroots organizations and the workers we serve—to strengthen the organization’s capacity and long-term sustainability across California.

Kevin has deep roots at Legal Aid at Work. Since 2010, he has served the organization as a Workers’ Rights Clinic instructor, volunteer attorney, board member, and senior staff leader. Before becoming President, Kevin served as Vice President of Strategy, where he helped shape LAAW’s strategic direction, fundraising, communications, and external partnerships. Kevin also co-founded and continues to teach the Workers’ Rights Clinic in East Palo Alto, operated in partnership with Stanford Law School.

A plaintiffs’-side employment lawyer by training, Kevin was previously a litigation partner at Kerr & Wagstaffe, where he handled complex employment and civil rights cases. He earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2006 and his B.A. in philosophy from the University of Michigan in 2002.
