San Francisco (June 3, 2025) Legal Aid at Work officially launched the search for its next Executive Director today as President Joan Graff prepares to step down after more than four decades of transformative leadership.
The Board of Directors has engaged Carlson Beck, a national executive search firm with deep expertise in nonprofit leadership, to guide the process.
This is an exciting opportunity at a pivotal moment in the organization’s history. The next Executive Director will have the opportunity to build upon Legal Aid at Work’s 109-year legacy – leading LAAW from a position of remarkable strength and stability, while also navigating the organization through the unprecedented challenges to the legal profession and social justice for underrepresented, marginalized workers, and communities.
