Isabelle Zhang
Language Access Coordinator
Isabelle (she/her) supports primarily Chinese-speaking clients by managing the Chinese-language line and, under the supervision of CLS attorneys, providing counsel, referrals, and culturally responsive information. Working closely with program teams, attorneys, volunteers, and community partners, she facilitates interpretation and translation for litigation, clinics, and outreach efforts while strengthening relationships with multilingual advocates and organizations. Through community education, partnership building, and targeted outreach, Isabelle aims to expand access to workplace rights resources and advance LAAW’s mission of serving low-wage workers and marginalized communities across California.
Prior to joining LAAW, Isabelle worked as a bilingual interviewer at the Bar Association of San Francisco, where she managed the bilingual interview line and provided consultative guidance and legal referrals across various legal fields. She also brings experience in marketing, community outreach, and partnership development in the arts and disability culture sector, as well as international auction houses such as Bonhams, where she collaborated with global marketing teams to ensure culturally responsive and accessible content for international audiences. Isabelle holds an M.A. in Art History and Communications from McGill University in Montreal and was a recipient of the McCall MacBain Scholarship.
