As head of our human resources function, Howard leads our efforts to recruit and retain talented and dedicated staff and create an environment where they can thrive. Howard guides LAAW’s overall vision, identity, and strategy around diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensure that policies and practices are in place to combat structural racism and oppression that permeates all aspects of our society. Howard is a member of the senior leadership team and acts as key liaison between the organization and its staff union. In that capacity, Howard is responsible for ensuring that LAAW lives its core values of operating as a just and equitable workplace.
